Clark wakes up in bed and wishes he knew where Brainiac took her. But he expects that Lex Luthor must be involved.

Reconstruction

Plot:
We pick up right where the last issue ended. Superman just redirected what was left of the largest piece of the Justice League Watchtower that plummeted from Earth's orbit. It was set to hit the middle of Metropolis and Superman couldn't stop it, so he pushed it toward the city's industrial area where Brainiac had told Lex Luthor to hide from the blast. Thanks to Brainiac's subterfuge, Luthor believes that this is all Superman's fault. The blast did not kill Lex, but injured him greatly. He has been impaled with sharp metal debris, causing severe spinal damage and internal bleeding, and lost both his arms from approximately the elbow and both his legs. Superman is obviously completely unscathed and tells Luthor to lie still because he's in shock and hurt worse than he realizes, but Lex insists that he will have his revenge.

DC Universe Online Legends Vol 1 No 7 Jul 2011

Plot:
Return to the beginning where the opening game trailer ended. Joker muses to the dead Harley Quinn how he always thought killing Batman would create an inner fanfare, fireworks, or a hallelujah chorus. He gently closes her eyes and disappears as soon as the swarm of exobytes reigns down on Metropolis. Days pass while Batman's body lay amidst the rubble and carnage of what's left of the city, until he is discovered alive by two new heroes named Allyce and Fracture. They decide to bring him back to someone named Cyber who leads a whole group of Superheroes infused with leftover exobytes from Brainiac's initial onslaught (It's not explained here, but I'm 99% sure that this is the case).

He then realizes that the Ravager with the other Titans is an impostor. Kid Flash is overwhelmed, but not before he manages to use a torch to signal the other Titans about what's happening.

However, Carina has no intention of returning to her husband. Korvac, on the other hand, isn't willing to let her go nor his eternal plans of conquest. The Avengers and New Avengers then arrive in the Academy to defeat Korvac once again. Meanwhile, Jocasta sequesters the Academy students and Carina into a saferoom which shunt to other dimensions every 2.3 seconds, though the effort is futile.
